Studio Black Tomato and Raffles Hotels & Resorts enjoy a long standing relationship - the latter brand’s focus on luxury and heritage fitting nicely with our own ideals. To ensure we kept the collection at the forefront of our audience’s mind, we decided to both increase Raffles’ digital presence and move into the realm of print by producing a beautiful newspaper showcasing the brand’s key properties and the destinations in which they sit.
What we did.
We worked with Raffles Hotels & Resorts to select a number of their hotels to profile in The Heritage newspaper, using our own in-house travel expertise to create wonderful destination guides to sit alongside each hotel review. Designed to reflect the brand’s history, this beautiful creation that passionately told the Raffles story was sent out to our client database and distributed through select partners. A digital version of the newspaper was also hosted on our website within a microsite that was created and populated exclusively for the campaign. These online pages were linked to the QR codes within The Heritage, enabling readers of the hard copy newspaper to link directly through, seamlessly combining the two key platforms of the campaign.
All of this was complimented by a fantastic social media campaign and a series of e-newsletters that were sent to our entire database. The feedback from those who had received a hard copy of the newspaper (as well as those viewing it digitally) was incredibly positive. It was a successful project that inspired people to see the world with Black Tomato and Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
